Sol Dog

Ron Rifkin

Ron Rifkin, Sol Dog's other main song writer, has been playing organ and piano all his life. He has played extensively with a variety of bands, including Christine Ohlman, the Howard Eldridge Blues Project, Bleu Cheeze, Dancing Dog, Lazybones, Ron Laike and Pallmer, Yess, Fish, Icecapaides, Chick Korea, and Cub Coda. Like Rev, Ron draws heavily upon personal experience and the utter disaster that is his daily life for the images in his lyrics.

Ron's stage gear currently includes:
Hammond XB-2 electronic organ
Early 1950s Leslie Tone Cabinet, all tube, refurbished by Goff
Studio Logic 76-key keyboard
Roland sound module
Jameson Irish Whiskey

Over the past summer, Ron got married several times. During the next five years, when not performing with Sol Dog you may catch him out and about on one of his various monthly honeymoons. The other members of Sol Dog wish him and Selena well, and wish Selena good luck with Ron.
